Annual symposium goes virtual – next webinar 15 September, 1.30-3.30pm


We have decided to deliver the annual symposium presentations via a series of (free) webinars.  The first, on potential chemical contaminants, was on Wednesday 01 September. 

The next one, on Food Safety Risk Management Standards and Strategies, will be in a couple of weeks, on Wednesday 15 September, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. You will soon receive an invitation to register, with further details about the presentations.

We may also find inventive ways to “stage” the panel discussion on novel foods, chaired by Kim Hill.

Refunds of registration fees will be managed by NZIFST on our behalf.

It’s disappointing that we haven’t been able to get together in Massey’s beautiful Old Museum building, but we are lucky to be able to continue business in this way.  Food safety has no pause button.

We look forward to seeing you all at some stage, and would particularly like to wish our Auckland colleagues well.
