A tribute to Hon. Nikki Kaye, former Minister for Food Safety (2013/4)

The Centre would like to acknowledge Hon. Nikki Kaye’s contribution to food safety, as Minister from 22 January 2013 to the election in 2014. During her term in office the recommendation for “Establishing a centre of food safety science and research” was approved, and this led to the NZFSSRC being launched in 2016. By all accounts, she was an outstanding MP and Minister, well-liked by all.  Our condolences to her family, friends and former colleagues.
